    3D Printing the Future

    When it comes to the products and ideas, it can be tempting to imagine them springing from a singular moment of inspiration (think Isaac Newton and the apple). The truth, however, is that in any industry, the most innovative and successful products are typically the result of months or even years of study, experimentation, and hard work. That process is known as research and development (R&D).

    Prototyping

    3D printing offers a variety of advantages, making changes on the fly, testing, testing and testing. Our Formlab Form 3 quickly turns ideas into prototypes. The easy-to-use and quick turnaround time gives our design team the versatility to CAD a part or the entire fitting and make an actual size model for testing before turning to CNC or casting production.

    Production

    Aqualux recently invested in a Fuse 1 from Formlabs. Designed for maximum output and minimum waste, Fuse 1 is a compact SLS 3D printer that packs an industrial punch. With fast print speeds and production-ready materials, we have truly rapid plastic-part production in-house.

    Optimising packing density

    By optimising packing density and powder recyclability, we are able to arrange many parts in a print to maximise the packing density, reduce print time, and limit or reduce waste entirely.

    Products and parts

    The ultra-low glare deep baffle for the AQL-154, canisters and more were entirely designed in-house and manufactured using our Fuse 1 with Nylon 12 material for strength and durability.
